CSS Templates FAQ
Though we call these packages templates, they are not Dreamweaver templates [dwt. format] in the true sense of the word.
You can convert these designs to be used as Dreamweaver Templates (dwt) quite easily by adding editable and non editable regions.
We use Dreamweaver to develop our templates. However, you may use any html editor to edit the html files. You will need a graphics program (Fireworks for example) to edit the graphics included in the package.
1. What is included in the template package?
All packages include html pages and original png files for easy editing and customisation.
2. What are the advantages to purchasing one of our templates?
By purchasing a PerreLink Page Design template you will be receiving a professional and high quality design. All templates validate to W3C standards and are cross browser compatible and search engine friendly.
By editing the original png file and the included stylesheet, you can dramatically change the look of the design and have your own website on the internet in no time.
The templates have all been validated for both html and css. This ensures that the template is coded correctly and it is cross browser/platorm compatible.
3. How are the templates shipped?
The templates are available for immediate download after payment is confirmed. They are supplied in zip format. More information on how to save the files is given in the help documentation that is supplied with every template.
4. Can I edit the png files?
Most definitely. Using a graphics program, you can modify the layout in any way you wish. You can change colors, backgrounds and photos.
5. Can I use Server Side Includes (SSI) with your templates?
Sure, use the header, menu or footer areas as SSIs to make your website easy to maintain.
6. Can I resell your page designs?
No, our license says in part:
" You may not distribute copies of this TEMPLATE to others. You may not rent, lease, loan, resell for profit, distribute, or otherwise assign or transfer the TEMPLATE, or create derivative works based upon the TEMPLATE or any part thereof."
These templates are limited for use as your own personal website or to produce a website for a client.
